Thank you for taking this opportunity to meet our clinic staff.
I have been in practice as a veterinarian in the south metro area for over 15 years. I am a graduate of the University of
Missouri, Columbia and reside in Apple Valley with my wife Beth and my daughter Julia. I have a special interest in small
animal medicine and believe strongly in the value of preventive medicine and client education. My practice has an emphasis
on allergy and skin disorders, and we successfully treat ear infections with a special protocol that my staff and I created.
I am a member of the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association. I hope you will stop in and visit our clinic soon.

Rocky (the three legged wonder cat)

Hi! I'm the clinic cat. I came to Dr. Hunt's clinic from South
Dakota in 1999. I was trying to keep warm under the hood of a car when I accidentally found myself hitching a ride to
Minnesota. When the driver of the car stopped at a gas station, he looked under the hood to see why the engine was running
rough. He found me in the fan belt. When Dr. Hunt first met me, he thought I was dead. However, I raised
my hand and waved at him to ask for help. He and his staff put me back together after 23 hours of surgery. I lost
one back leg, and if you look closely, you can still see the scar on my face. I'm a very happy and content cat.
I am always available to counsel animals who are scared before surgery. I assure them they are in good hands.

To look at me, you wouldn't think I'd be the first choice for clinic dog. Many years
ago, Dr. Hunt saved my life and brought me to live here. You see, I'm a pit bull. I lived in a very rough neighborhood
and the police found me in the garage of an abandoned house in Minneapolis. The nice people at the rescue house I went
to tried to place me in several homes. I have the extreme misfortune to be a nice pit bull. (Who wants a NICE
pit bull??) When Dr. Hunt met me, he was supposed to put me to sleep. He told me that the day you die in America
for being too nice, is a really sad day. With the permission of the people who brought me here, I've lived here ever
since!

Hi Everyone, I am Steve. Currently I am taking classes at
the University of Minnesota as a pre-vet student and will be applying to the College of Veterinary Medicine this year.
I started working with Dr. Hunt about two years ago. You can usually find me around the clinic full time during the
summer and only part time during the school year.
I grew up not too far from the clinic and graduated from Burnsville High School in 2001.
I am a big time outdoors fanatic, and try to spend lots of time in the Boundary Waters with friends. I also enjoy fishing
at the cabin whenever possible.
Right now at home I have two Collies, "Cody" and "Shadow" and one Yorkie, "Mickey." As
a child we had several cats, and until about two years ago I had two Cockatiels and a Jenday Conure. Growing up with
all of these animals is probably the reason I have always wanted to be a veterinarian, the birds in particular have sparked
an interest in studying companion bird medicine.
That's pretty much it for me so, thank you for taking the time to check our our home page.
I really look forward to meeting you and working with you and your pet!

Hi, I'm Dane and my job description here at the Palomino Pet Hospital
is basically doing whatever I can. Usually I am in the back of the clinic cleaning and taking care of the animals we
board, but I also take the role of checking in patients, answering phones, assisting Dr. Hunt and the Veterinary Technicians,
as well as restocking and working the register in the pet store.
Apart from work, I will be a 2006 graduate of Eagan High School and I am interested in a little
bit of everything. I am no slouch at playing the piano or French horn. I provide a quality video editing service
out of my basement. I am a self-proclaimed Ping Pong/Badminton champ, but what I am most interested in is becoming a
part of the veterinary field, which is why I chose to volunteer here at the Palomino Pet Hospital.

Hello,
My name is Mike. I've been associated with Dr. Hunt for the
past 12 years. I started out as a client of Dr. Hunt's. Over time we have become friends and co-workers.
I am dedicated to Dr. Hunt, the clients and his staff.
As a part time employee I fill in where needed, from walking dogs
to cleaning cages to managing the client database to assisting with surgery. I'm always just a phone call away.
I truly love the time I spend at the clinic and the time getting to know the clients of Dr. Hunt. But the best part
of working with Dr. Hunt is the animals. I will do anything to help out your animal. I treat all animals as if
they were my own.

Hi, I'm Nikki. I've been working with Dr. Hunt since 1999
as his surgical assistant. I help prepare your pet for surgery. During surgery, I monitor your pet's vital signs
and assist Dr. Hunt with procedures. Our goal is to ensure that you and your pet have an experience that is as stress
free as possible. I have been a Registered Nurse for 12 years. Six of those have been in a "human" operating room.
Working with Dr. Hunt allows me to combine my love of animals with my interest in surgery. Thank you for trusting us
to take excellent care of your pet.
